HOW TO HAVE LONGER BATTERY LIFE ON ANDROID

With the increase in usage of our handheld devices, the demand for power to keep them running increases.
As a result, we have short periods in  between charging sessions.

However. some tweaking on the system can save up to 30%  of your battery power.
Here are some tips to give you longer battery life.

  • Power saving applications.
There are free apps in the android market that actually help in saving power. They work by slowing down your CPU, so if you need your phone to run smoothly, you might not want to use these apps.

The list of battery saver apps is long, but my personal favorite is Antutu Battery Saver .

  • Managing screen brightness.
If you take a close look at your battery graph, you will notice that your screen takes up a considerable chunk of your power.
You can work around this by setting screen brightness to automatic during the day and the lowest level possible at night.

  • Switch off vibration mode
Turning off your phones vibration mode goes a long way in saving your power since vibration takes up quite an amount of you battery juice.

  • Switch off background data.
Refer to this article to find out how you can switch off background data.
This not only saves your charge but data bundles as well.
However, be warned that you will have to open any app that requires data connection to receive its latest activities. Simply put, you will not receive emails, Facebook notifications or Whatsapp messages till you launch the respective apps.
