HOW TO UNBRICK LENOVO K900

Let’s face it. Every one of us has bricked their android devices once (or twice-if you are a developer).
Unluckily I’m among the messy few. I bought a new Lenovo k900 and bricked it the same day. Simply put, all that phone could do was light the soft key buttons for a few seconds then it goes off. It was distressing. But you know what they say. You can never brick an android phone.

Here’s what I did to give life to my phone once again:

REQUIREMENTS
1.       Intel androiddrvsetup
2.       Isoc usb driver setup
3.       XFSTK downloader
4.       Manufacturing flash tool (MFT)
5.       K900_1_S_2_019_0142_130927_DVT3_CPsign  (this is the specific rom I used to unbrick my Lenovo K900)

PROCEDURE
1       Install the Intel android drivers
2       Install isoc usb drivers
3       Install XFSTK.
4       Install manufacturing tool.
5       Unzip K900_1_S_2_019_0142_130927_DVT3_CPsignthen run XFSTK. Within XFSTK, open the following files in their respective dialog boxes:    a) FW DnX; CLAK_FwDnX_CLVP_20.24.bin
 b) IFWI; CLAK_IFWI_CLVP_vF9.54_ww19_001_SOS.bin
  c) OS DnX; CLAK_OsDnX_CLVP_20.24.bin
  d) OS image; pos.bin     Then Click the download option

1

Press the power button on your phone for 10 seconds to turn it off then connect it to your pc via USB cable. Wait till the download is complete then unplug your phone once the download is complete. Wait for the screen to go off then wait for 2 minutes.
Run manufacturing flash tool, go to settings and in input the following settings (check picture below) then apply settings. Click on files>open and navigate to the location where you unzipped the rom and select flash-DVT3-CPU-sign. You are now ready to flash a rom to your phone.

Connect your phone to the pc via USB and wait till the flashing is complete. MFT will show a “flash complete” dialog with a green bar showing 100% at the very end. Disconnect the phone and reboot. Your Lenovo k900 is now back to life  .
